Ferries transportation departs from Chiayi and Kaohsiung regularly in summer season. Services are subjected to change according to season and climate, do enquiry before departure. In winter, only Taihwa Boat is in operation.

Important notice: 

1. Ship schedules subject to change, for latest information, contact service provider.

2. To avoid getting seasick, we recommend taking anti-motion sickness tablets at least 30 minutes prior the ride. 

3. It is advised to check in 40 minutes prior to departure, be sure to bring personal identification documents. 

Getting to Taihwa departure point in Kaohsiung:

By MRT: Take the Orange Line to Sizihwan Station,from Exit 1, walk to Jiesing 1^st St.

By Bus: From Kaohsiung Railway Station, go to the west wing, take Bus 248, get off at SinPin Pier stop, and walk for approximately 200 meters.

Getting to Budai Harbor Tourist Center:

Public transport is not so convenient in Chiayi, therefore we recommend hiring a taxi or minibus from the railway station or high-speed rail station. The closest railway stations are Sinying Station, Tainan and Chiayi Station, Chiayi. You may also take the high speed rail to Chiayi HSR station. 

One way taxi/ minibus ride costs NT. 900-1000. You may find other travellers to share the ride online, or on-site.
